gee after going through the PBL qns for MS8504, i realised what i learn isint enough or what i know isint much help to solve the bloody database problem.
The QNS:
you are to create a database ( pxxxxxxxYourname.mdb, where xxxxxxx is your admno, followed by yourname) :
(i) Design 3 Tables with the appropriate fields.(item i to iii : 65%)
(ii) Use appropriate fieldname, data types and its associated properties (validation rules, masks, etc).
(iii) Create relevant Relationships and update Query.
(iv) Perform some sample data entry into the tables upon completion of table design and creation. You can create sufficient CSPA classes and student records in order to generate a form/report.
(v) Design and create a Form to enter/update/edit the student marks (10%)
(vi) Design and create a Module Report (with summary calculations) to facilitate for printing purpose required at the end of the semester for the examination board. (15%)
its pretty fustrating to know that what u learn is limited.
With only this amount of info, how am i suppose to do:
Information currently available:
1. Student :
- Includes Name, Student Admission No., **Diploma Course info (DMM/FT/2B/21) and **CSPA Course Info (CSPA/FT/1A/01)
** consider the dip course info. in separate fields and create drop down list and validation rules
2. Modules in CSPA:
- Includes Module Name, Module Code and Assessment Component/Weightages. For simplicity, we assume that there are only 3 assessments (CA1, CA2, and CA3) for all modules. When assigning the weightages to the 3 CAs, ensure that they must add up to 100% (e.g.: CA1: 40%, CA2: 40%, CA3: 20%)
MS8502 Spreadsheet with Programming
MS8503 C# Programming
MS8504 Database Management
MS8505 Object-Oriented Development
MS8506 Dot.Net Application
3. Student’s Score:
- Student Admission No, Assessment Scores for each component in each module, ** the Final Mark and Grade Awarded
- You should create Update Query to compute the Final Mark and assign Grade.
geez weird qns.
if only i can multi task
